More than 460 employees of the Warendorf District Police Department report to her.
The head of the police department is responsible for assessing the security situation in the district. In consultation with the district administrator and the heads of the directorates, she determines the guidelines and priorities for police action on an annual basis. She coordinates and monitors the performance of police duties in the various specialist directorates.

Administrative tasks, technology, weapons and assembly are part of the directorate's remit
A management team is assigned to the Head of Police Department for cross-directorate tasks. This supports the police director in her management, controlling and leadership tasks. In addition, she is the point of contact for external authorities on overarching issues and for other police or executive authorities in matters relating to police operations.
In the event of major police incidents in the district of Warendorf, the head of the police department takes charge of operations.
