The Warendorf district police authority has been set up in a uniform departmental model since 1.9.2011.
The head of the authority is District Administrator Dr. Olaf Gericke and the head of the police department is Police Director Andrea Mersch-Schneider. In addition to a central management team, there are the following directorates for the various areas of responsibility:

• Danger Prevention/Employment (Directorate G/E)
• Crime (Directorate K)
• Transport (Directorate V)
• Central Tasks (Directorate ZA)
